A British man has been arrested for allegedly importing more than 30,000 sildenafil pills, and more than £40,000 worth of fake Viagra.
The man, who is believed to be from Devon, has been detained for about 10 days without the prescription of police officers and the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
The man, who was not named, claimed he was taking Viagra because he was looking to "travelling".
He was booked under the "safe and open use" provisions of the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which are regulated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
The man has previously appeared in court for a separate offence and is thought to be from Leicester.
The MHRA has said that the "sale and supply of medicinal products is an offence for which a person has a statutory permission and upon conviction, the person shall be fined not less than $5,000 nor more than $100,000 and required to pay a fine not less than $100,000 nor more than $100,000 and in the case of a person who has consumed a quantity of medicinal products in excess of the maximum daily value of $1,000 or more, a judgment of not less than $5,000 nor more than $100,000" is mandatory.
The MHRA has also said that the man has "abusive and illegal" sexual acts in the course of his work.
He has been described as being "unimpressed" and "disappointed and disturbed", and as being "disappointed and disturbed" with the actions of the authorities.

"We believe that the products purchased in connection with this case are dangerous to public health and that the products could also be harmful to the elderly.
